Generative Crystals

Monotype Screen Print, 2022

The originators of the crystal series, these monotypes are first or second pulls of their screen-printed colourway. The organic shapes that transpire feel too delicate and irreplaceable to hand finish and so they exist as individual prints, surreal and unusual by nature, less structured than their crystal cousins. Whilst the prints may share similarities with their siblings, each is completely unique.

Hand Finished Monotype Screen Print, 2022

A selection of monotype screen prints hand finished using acrylic paint and dutch leaf. New planes and spaces are added with the leaf and colour, accentuating the structures that already exist and drawing out the sharp crystalline edges of the abstract rendition.
